This blog is dedicated to exploring topics concerning patients' modesty and privacy concerns. It is hoped we can be a reference source of information for patients trying to find their way through a confusing healthcare system full of all kinds of privacy pitfalls. Further discussion of most of these topics can be found on the companion blog.
Well done Doug and Dr. Bernstein! It is exciting to see this subject vine its way into medical academia. Great job in your efforts to bring this issue to the attention of those who need to see it, as well as supporting those who will find strength in knowing that there are ways for words to build bridges. Someday it would be interesting to see patient and doctor trade places in the theoretical scenario, proving that communication has afforded each the understanding of being in each others shoes.

Congratulations! The issue is still in diapers, but it seems things will improve in the future.
